This is very much a work-in-progress and has been difficult to set up since it’s such a convoluted mix of different molecular types from different corals for different experiments! Here is a summary; in most cases, “Pocillopora spp.” and “Seriatopora spp.” correspond to mixes of Pocillopora damicornis+P. acuta and Seriatopora hystrix+S. caliendrum, respectively.

Coral Sample Archive

This is a catalogue of coral samples held at multiple institutions, reconciled against Dr. Coral's full sample-tracking records as of July 2026. Most field-collected samples are archived at NMMBA (Taiwan), with backup subsets at the Smithsonian Biorepository, RSMAS or University of Miami's Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (UMBP), and with several collaborators (see "Stored at" for each row). "Pocillopora spp." and "Seriatopora spp." correspond to mixes of P. damicornis+P. acuta and S. hystrix+S. caliendrum respectively. Field-collected samples come from Living Oceans Foundation Global Reef Expedition (GRE) missions (2013-2016); lab-experiment samples come from NOAA AOML (FL, USA) / NMMBA (Taiwan) tank studies.
