In January of 2019, I had the amazing opportunity to make my second trip to Indonesia’s Komodo National Park for research. In a nutshell, the coral still looks good. This is probably due to upwelling, crazy currents, and lack of people (but see my treatise about “pristine” reefs elsewhere on this site).
