This is, far and away, the Florida dive site at which I’ve spent the most time. Corals here seem to be fairing better than those in the vicinity, and one my main projects while at NOAA was on trying to uncover why this is so. Sadly, this project ended up being somewhat moot, as those mega-high-temperature corals we were tracking were wiped out by disease (SCTLD).
