Although my background is in coral molecular biology, many of my coral molecular projects have, admittedly, been placed on the backburner as I pushed to learn more and more about predictive modeling and machine-learning during the pandemic. I recently spent some time to put together a commissioned book chapter for Elsevier on coral multi-’Omics.

In essence, you’ve got two options:

Option A: High quality RNA, DNA, and protein, with poorly resolved lipids and polar metabolites.

Option B: High quality RNA, DNA, lipids, and metabolites, with low-quality proteins.
