Four days (2014-11-10 to 11-13) were spent surveying and sampling the reefs of Utupua, a real highlight of the whole country. Unfortunately, I only have the low-resolution images for the first day due to a file archiving issue created by Aperture.

For images of the sampled Pocillopora spp. (SoPd66-87) and Seriatopora spp. colonies (SoSe99-123), click on the “Sampled Pocillopora spp. colonies: sites 32-69” and “Sampled Seriatopora spp. colonies: sites 32-69,” respectively. For high-resolution habitat maps, please go here.

SoUt33 (2014-11-10) night dive site. I don’t know if I really didn’t take pictures during the day or if they were lost/deleted in my latest Aperture formatting crisis, as I could only find three images. At this site Pocillopora spp. colonies were tagged and sampled in both day and night.

SoUt34 (2014-11-10) did not dive on account of setting up for night dive (SoUt33)

SoUt37 (2014-11-11)

SoUt38 (2013-11-12) neither P. acuta/P. damicornis nor Seriatopora spp. were present at this site.
