Gilbert Atoll-two days (Nov. 17-18, 2013) were spent surveying reefs (n=4) of Gilbert, though no corals were sampled.

Mean coral cover=25%.

This atoll is not on Google Maps (yet), but it’s somewhere around here!

No local stressors but corals are bleaching like wildfire. Hell, they used this part of the world to demonstrate the severity of bleaching in Chasing Corals!
